Genes for Jeans!

Well, I don't consider myself a fancy boy by any means. When a sale comes along, Princess is usually the excited one. But for some reason, I was really excited about the Jeans sale we went to today. It was down in Orange county and we waited in line for about an hour to get in. Inside, a huge quantity of jeans and other lay about clothing. I found myself trying on a pair of 575s in the community changing room (they had one big changing room for men and one for women) and realized they are the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn! I got two pairs of those and one pair of Antik Denim. These things are never something I would pay retail for, and even the sale price was three times more than we typically pay for my jeans, but they were so comfortable I had to try them out. Princess also got a few pairs!

Mixology for Fixology

Tonight I invented a new drink. I came up with the idea the other night but tonight I finally put it together. I took Absolut Vanilla Vodka (1 oz), Godiva Chocolate Liquor (1 oz), Bailey's Irish Cream (1 oz) , and Kahlua (1/2 oz) and shook them all up martini shaker with ice. I then poured the mixture into two champagne glasses and dropped a Teuscher Champagne Truffle into each glass.

The kicker is: when you drink it about half way down, the truffle begins to float up and it looks like poop in your glass. That is why I named the drink "Dog Poo".

As Princess and I ready the house for visitors (we've never really entertained here) we wanted to have something like this that was a little silly and fun.

By the way, the drink is delicious!!

Super Sunday Feast

Well, as our Super Bowl Sunday tradition continues, the Princess once again delivered a delicious feast. We ate deep fried ginger chicken, wonderful sushi rolls, broccoli cole slaw, cheese assortment, black tea flavored pork with a sweet sake soy sauce, caviar fish cake canapes, and oden (a stew of assorted fish cakes). For desert we ate coconut pie, even though I don't like the texture of coconut it was still delicious.

As the Pats were eliminated, the outcome of the game was incidental! But, congrats to the Colts for a job well done. Maybe next year Bears.
